Students success at school is only possible with the full support of parents. We aim to work in very close partnership with parents and appreciate the encouragement and support we receive from them.

Ofsted judged our transition arrangements for students entering Year 7 to be excellent. This starts from months before your son/daughter joins us and continues all the way through school.

Students planners, the website and the newsletter are important channels of communication between home and school.

Parents receive regular updates and reports on academic achievements and from 2010 will have access to electronic updates via the school’s secure website.

All parents are invited to join Hipperholme and Lightcliffe’s thriving Parent Teachers Association (PTA). The PTA aims to extend the relationships between staff and parents by encouraging activities that support the school and advance the education of our students. They also offer extra financial support to the school.
